Just had to say......

That I'm missing my husband!

Picture of the day!

My dad and some, erm, 'Lady friends' he met in Thailand.

Our latest bargain!

Yes, we do love our weird and wonderful things. Right now we are very much into retro stuff - mainly furniture, and we couldn't resist buying this dining table (with matching chairs) when we saw it in Steptoe and Son. Apparently, the design dates back to the late 1940's - early 1950's and the seats are covered in the original vinyl. I also scored a cushion in the weekend that matches my flowery retro lampshade, so I'm a happy girl.

Dining Room

By the way, what do you think of our ancient radio in the background of the picture? it is from Tim's Granny, and it still works! (although the only station it can receive is access radio!).

Tim posing for the camera (a rare thing indeed).

Fi in Tunnel

Yesterday, Tim and I went for a walk near the Kaitokes in Upper Hutt. It was called 'Tane's walk'. These pictures were taken during the walk.

Me standing in the entrance of the tunnel.

NZ Jungle

The beautiful native bush of the walk.......

Mould

An interesting picture of mold growing on a tree branch..... I just loved the colours!

Examining the root

Me, fossicking around in the bush!

Punga and Jungle

A beautiful Punga fern, with the jungle in the background.

Glen's painting.

My brother has recently been experimenting with painting!

He sent me and Tim this groovy picture he'd painted. We've got it hanging up in our lounge. I really like it!

Akaroa

Akaroa - located about an hour's drive from Christchurch, and on Banks Peninsula, would have to be one of my favourite places in the world. It is a beautiful, quiet little seaside town, a perfect place to visit on a day trip.

What makes it one of my favourite places in the world? countless summers spent paddling in the sea as a child, eating hot chips by the beach, walking around looking at the beautiful old houses and immersing myself in nature. Smelling the briny scent of the ocean and the fragrant smell of Jasmine and Roses that waft down from the surrounding gardens........

Babies!!!

Babies, babies, and more babies!

God, Tim is going to freak out big time when he sees all these photos. He already complains that I am clucky enough as it is!

I can't help it that everyone around me is having babies, can I?!! you have to admit though, they are cute!

The two babies in this photo are named Mark, and Holly. They belong to my lovely friend, Janna (she let me borrow them for the photo).

The other baby is my Cousin's little boy, William. He simply loves his Grannie's puppy, Isla!

Ah, good times!
